Cultural Politics Difference between the Two.
Based on cultural politics, there
are significant differences between the Democratic Party and the Republican
Party, and these differences mostly focus on ideology. First, Democrats are
generally liberal and this can be seen through the constitutional reforms
authored by them supporting gay marriage and other values believed to be
evolving as society changes. In contrast, Republicans are conservative since
many of its founders were religious and gave importance to moral values. This
explains why Republicans are more aggressive when it comes to disapproving
abortion and same sex marriage. Furthermore, the Democrats believe that the
government has the power when it comes to national interests, but in devising
economic and social policies, they think that government should be cautious. On
the other hand, Republicans, through the ideology of one of their members, the
Whigs, argue that the government should act especially in using governmental power to promote,
regulate, correct, and reform (
